Definizione
Sacred religious texts used for study which include the Hebrew Bible, consisting of the Tanakh: Pentateuch (Torah), Prophets (Nevi'im), and Writings (Ketuvim); the Mishnah; the Talmud (also Gemara); the Mishneh Torah (author: Rambam); the Shulchan Aruch; Midrash; and Kabbalah (seminal text: the Zohar). Also included are religious texts used in prayer: daily prayerbooks (siddurim), High Holiday prayerbooks (machzorim), and Psalms (T'hillim). (en-US)
