Definizione

Nazi party-organized assault on the persons and property of the Jewish population in Germany, Austria, and the Czech Sudetenland on November 9 and 10, 1938. Also known as "Kristallnacht" ("crystal night") for the shattered glass of vandalized Jewish homes, storefronts, and synagogues, this event signaled the acceleration of Nazi policies aimed at expropriating and expelling German Jews from the Third Reich.
