Definizione

After the Allied liberation of Tunisia on May 7, French administration was reinstalled under Major-General Charles-Emmanuel Mast. Jews of Italian nationality were arrested on charges of collaboration and interned and then released. The Jewish community began to revive itself and the Tunisian independence movement gained momentum. (en-US)
