Definizione

Attempts to corroborate and/or provide documentary evidence of the Holocaust experience of an interviewee or a family member (This verification may take the form of seeking documentation regarding a ghetto or camp in which the interviewee had been located, finding another survivor who had seen the interviewee/family member, etc.). This process has special relevance to the postwar USSR where people who fell under occupation during the war were often required to prove that they were not collaborators. (en-US)
