Repetto, Francesco CercaDefinizione
Don Francesco Repetto was the secretary to the Archbishop of Genoa, Italy, Cardinaly Pietro Boetto. Repetto and Boetto both were active in helping Jewish refugees before and up to 1943 through the Delasem organization. After September 1943 Repetto became the head of the clandestine Delasem office in Genoa. Repetto was able to rescue many Jewish refugees through arranging escape routes to Switzerland or the Allied occupation zone in Italy and by providing hiding places and false documents. He managed to evade being arrested by the Germans in the summer of 1944 and was in hiding for the remainder of the war. (en-US)
