Definizione

The Spanish ship Cabo di Buena Esperanza was originally built as the Hoosier State in the USA in 1921. Renamed the President Lincoln, it provided passenger service from San Francisco to the Far East for the Dollar Line and the American President Line until 1940. The ship was then sold to Berge and Company in Spain, renamed the Maria del Carmen, then sold again to Ybarra y Cia and given its final name, Cabo di Buena Esperanza. The ship then provided passenger service to South American ports from 1940 to 1958. (en-US)
