Founded in Milan by Ferruccio Parri in 1943, Parito d'Azione (Action Party) was the political party succeeding the anti-Fascist Giustizia e Libertá (Justice and Liberty) democratic movement of the 1930s. It was a clandestine organization that was part of the Committees of National Liberation (CLN). The PdA supported partisan brigades also named Giustizia e Libertá.
