Definizione
As conveyed in Jewish scripture, Sukkot is the third of the pilgrimage festivals. Sukkot commemorates the Sukkot (booths) in which the Jewish people took shelter after the Exodus as they traveled in the wilderness. It is also an agricultural festival that commemorates the harvest in the land of Israel. Sukkot is observed by the building of an outdoor Sukkah in which Jews eat and sleep, and the shaking of the four species: the lulav (palm), etrog (citron), hadasim (myrtle leaves), and aravot (willow branches).
