Familienlager Theresienstadt (Auschwitz II-Birkenau) CercaDefinizione
A section of Auschwitz II-Birkenau was named "Familienlager Theresienstadt" (German: family camp Theresienstadt) meant for Jews from the Theresienstadt ghetto. When they arrived at Auschwitz, they did not undergo selections; they were placed in this section of Birkenau with families staying together. The section was set up in September 1943 and in March 1944 and July 1944, its prisoners were murdered by gassing. (en-US)
