Ha-No'ar ha-Oved veha-Lomed (Working and Student Youth) was founded by David Cohen in 1926 as a Histadrut-affiliated educational youth movement designed for young adults between the ages of 13 and 18. In 1933, Ha-No'ar ha-Oved veha-Lomed members founded Kibbutz Na'an. The movement merged with Habonim-Ha-Tenu'ah ha-Me'uhedet in 1959. Ha-No'ar ha-Oved veha-Lomed had 100,000 members in 1970.
