SS-Hauptscharführer (Master-Sergeant) Otto Moll was born on March 4, 1915, in Hochenschönberg, Germany. Moll became a member of the NSDAP (Nazi party), and in May 1935 he began to build his career with the SS. Moll was stationed at the Auschwitz concentration camp in May 1941 and placed in charge of the camp's fruit and vegetable farm. In June 1942 Moll was named the Block and Squad Leader of the Penal Company at the Auschwitz II-Birkenau death camp. He later acted as director of crematorium operations at Auschwitz II-Birkenau. While stationed at Birkenau, Moll served as a report officer in the men's camp in sector BIId. Otto Moll was later posted at the Fürstengrube and Gleiwitz subcamps until he was transferred to the Dachau concentration camp. In November 1945 Moll was tried by an American military tribunal. The tribunal sentenced him to death for crimes committed during World War II. Otto Moll was executed on May 28, 1946. (en-US)
