This term is used to mark the discussions of interviewees who hid their Jewish identity as well as the discussions of child survivors who had their identity hidden or protected for them. These discussions could include the interviewee's feelings about being Jewish or about Judaism as well as more practical matters such as obtaining papers and birth certificates in his/her original name.
