Definizione

The response of perpetrators, e.g. camp guards, to the approach of Allied armies at the end of World War II. Perpetrators are individuals who participated in the formation and/or implementation of persecution-related measures or programs of the Nazis and their allies. Additionally, civilian bystanders who actively participated in the murder or torture of individuals targeted by the Nazis and their allies are also considered perpetrators. (en-US)
