Definizione

Definition: After Pilsudski's death on May 12, 1935, power in the country is exercised by "a troika" which includes the president, the army commander, and foreign minister. Antisemitic tendencies gain strength in government circles, as do radical rightist movements. From 1936 on, pogroms are a common occurrence. From 1937 on, physical attacks against Jewish students and boycotts against Jewish businesses become more common. (en-US)
