Definizione

Germany occupies Hungary on March 19, 1944. On April 15, 1944, Jews are ordered to wear yellow stars. Jews are deported to extermination camps mainly between May 15 and July 9, 1944 . Regent Horthy forbids further deportations from Budapest on July 7, 1944. Soviet and Romanian troops enter Hungary. After October 15, 1944, thousands of Jews are sent to build fortifications. The Budapest ghetto is established in December 1944. On January 17, 1945, the Budapest ghetto is liberated. (en-US)
