Germans issue the order that Jews wear the yellow badge on May 27. Thousands of Jews are rounded up for forced labor under Organisation Todt. The months from August to October mark a period of intense deportation; however, the Queen Mother intervenes on behalf of Jews of Belgian nationality, the Nazi-imposed administration tries to mute the impact of deportation orders, and Jewish partisan activity sabotages the undertaking.
