Definizione
The Jews of German-occupied Budapest were relocated to specially selected buildings throughout the city identified as Yellow Star houses (sárga csillagos házak). Each house was marked with a yellow Star of David on a black background. The decree for relocation was issued on June 16, 1944; relocation was completed by June 25. The creation of the Budapest ghetto began on November 18, 1944. (en-US)
